Whale's Way Ocean Retreat is situated in Wilderness at the heart of the Garden Route, within easy reach of all the major attractions of this beautiful coastline. The international airport of George is only 20 minutes away, Cape Town is 460km to the west and Port Elizabeth is 240km to the east.

We are located on a dune above the Indian Ocean and enjoy excellent views of the dolphins and whales (in season). There is a 'boardwalk' staircase that is within an easy walk that takes you down to the beach below.

Travelling from George / Mossel Bay on the N2 towards Knysna:
Stay on the N2, passing the turn-off to Wilderness on your left. Cross the Touw River and continue driving for about 3 km. Turn right at the Wilderness Beach Hotel. Turn left at the small roundabout behind the Caltex garage and follow the signs to Whale’s Way. We are on 6th Avenue (‘Sesdelaan’).

Travelling from Knysna / Port Elizabeth on the N2:
After passing the sign for Wilderness continue driving for 3km, turning left at the Caltex garage adjacent to the Wilderness Beach Hotel. Turn left at the small roundabout and follow the signs to Whale’s Way. We are on 6th Avenue (‘Sesdelaan’).
